Declared community and charitable organisations
The organisations listed have been declared under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 as community or charitable organisation, which can conduct raffles, fundraising events, bingo, trade promotion lotteries or sell lucky envelopes.
To be declared, the organisation must be either:
- a charity
- a sporting or recreational club
- an organisation conducting these activities for the purposes of a political party.
Due to a legislative change on 1 January 2012, declared community and charitable organisations remain valid for 10 years (unless suspended, revoked or renounced) instead of the ongoing term. For information about how to become a declared organisation, please go to Community and charitable gaming.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these listed organisations, please contact the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR).
If you are aware of a raffle or fund raising activities being conducted by an organisation that does not appear on this list, contact the VCGLR by phone 1300 182 457 or by email email@example.com.
