Technical standards for gambling industry

The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) has provided technical standards to assist in the evaluation of gaming equipment for operation in Victoria. These standards and guidelines are used by Accredited Testing Facilities to evaluate equipment or systems before recommending them for approval by the VCGLR.

Gaming machines and games

Commission standards for electronic gaming machine types and games
The Commission standards include the Australian/New Zealand Gaming Machine National Standard (PDF, 444KB) and the Victorian Appendix (PDF, 164KB).
Monitoring system standards
A standard for the monitoring system, the Victorian Central Monitoring and Control System Requirements (PDF, 548KB) is published and available for download in accordance with section 10.1.5A (2)(a) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.

Lottery system document

A standard for the pre-commitment system, the Victorian Pre-commitment System Requirements (PDF, 1.26MB) is published and available for download in accordance with section 10.1.5A (2)(a) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.
Player Account Equipment
The Player Account Equipment technical standard (PDF 2.1MB) sets out the requirements for player account equipment that must be installed prior to 1 December 2015 for statewide pre-commitment.
