Apply to deliver online RSA training

Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) accredited to deliver RSA training in Victoria must apply in order to deliver the nationally accredited RSA training – Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB002) – online .

Before proceeding with your application, ensure you have read the Apply to deliver RSA training online information including about the approval process, standard conditions of approval and requirements to deliver RSA training online.

You will need to have any supporting documentation ready before you begin as you cannot save and return to this form later.

Requirements to deliver RSA online

Applicants must indicate that you meet the requirements set out below and if not, provide details of any alternative measures you will implement to meet the requirement.

Confirmation of student identity

Requirement: The RTO must put in place appropriate procedures to verify and ensure that the student who registers for online RSA training is the same person who completes the course and receives the RSA certification.

Assessing the competency of students

Requirements:

  • assessments of student must comply with the requirements of the National Unit of Competency SITHFAB002 – Provide responsible service of alcohol
  • at least 50 per cent of the final assessment must be in the form of free text questions (i.e. not multiple choice or true/false questions)
  • students must achieve a pass rate of 70 per cent or more
  • assessment of a student’s competency may not be automated and must be conducted by an appropriately qualified assessor.

Minimise the potential for fraudulent activity

Requirement: RTOs must ensure that they put effective measures in place to prevent fraudulent activity.

I understand that if an RTO fails to comply with these measures, the VCGLR may decide to suspend or revoke the approval of an RTO to deliver training online at its complete discretion.
