VCGLR Education Officers recently embarked on a campaign targeting the checking of IDs in licensed venues throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.
The team have been visiting packaged and other licensed venues to remind them the importance of checking patron IDs to ensure community safety and to avoid selling alcohol to under 18s. Some of these visits were conducted with an interpreter and local council representatives.

Venues were also provided with information kits containing fact sheets, a licensees’ action plan and Q&A material to assist licensees understand their obligations.
