IMPORTANT NOTICE: A Declared State of Disaster is currently in place across Victoria. For more information, see: COVID-19 information for licensees
There is a lot to know and do when taking over a gaming venue operator licence.
The VCGLR aims to ensure that the information we provide is clear and up to date to assist licensees with this transition.
Information about the Jackpot Special Prize Pool (JSPP) for incoming gaming venue operators has recently been updated to provide further clarity and understanding.
The outgoing venue operator must pay any outstanding JSPP balances to the Responsible Gambling Fund. This cannot be transferred between outgoing and incoming venue operators.
The incoming venue operator can choose to commence the venues linked jackpots from anywhere within the specified prize range limit (approved minimum start-out to maximum prize value) of the jackpot. Incoming venue operators wishing to do this should contact Intralot prior to commencing trade to ensure the necessary arrangements are in place.
More information about this process is available in the Jackpot Monitoring and payment of unpaid Factsheet.
