Drink spiking - information for licensees

Other related content

As a licensee, it's your responsibility to provide a safe environment for your patrons, and both licensees and staff should be wary of drink spiking occurring on licensed premises.

Licensee's should be aware that alcohol can be used to spike drinks, not just illicit drugs. It is important to develop procedures to ensure such events do not occur.

Venue operators can download poster 1 (PDF, 548.63 KB) and poster 2 and display these posters in their venues. The posters aim to encourage patrons to call out suspicious behaviour to staff, and to give staff guidance on best practices to prevent drink spiking.

For more information on drink spiking, visit the Drug Info website.
