IMPORTANT NOTICE: A Declared State of Disaster is currently in place across Victoria. For more information, see: COVID-19 information for licensees
The AFL Finals Series celebrations can be a busy time of year for Victorian venues. The VCGLR will be working closely with Victoria Police to ensure licensees are meeting their obligations and keeping compliant by inspecting venues across Melbourne leading up to and over the Grand Final long weekend.
Daylight saving ends at 3am this Sunday (3 April 2016), which means clocks will be moved back to 2am.
Several bottle shops in the City of Greater Geelong have signed a new liquor accord to reduce antisocial behaviour and theft in the local area.
Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) inspectors visited many of Ballarat’s popular licensed venues this New Year’s Eve and found liquor licensees were compliant with their licence conditions.
Supplementary information and resources for licensees that wish to apply for a licence to serve liquor post 1am in the local government areas of Melbourne (including Docklands), Stonnington, Yarra and Port Phillip are now available.
