Approved versions of bingo

GamblingBingo

There are standard rules that bingo centre operators need to follow, as stated under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and the Gambling Regulation Regulations 2005.

Types of bingo

There are different types of bingo, which are defined by the range of numbers drawn and the format of the bingo ticket used:

  • type one – numbers between one and 90 are randomly drawn and announced
  • type two – numbers between one and 80 are randomly drawn and announced
  • type three – numbers between one and 75 are randomly drawn and announced.

Only one of the above types may be played in each game of bingo.

Versions of bingo

Within each type of bingo, there can be several different versions. Each version must be differentiated by a specific pattern or stipulated amount of numbers that must be matched by a player on their bingo ticket in order to win a game.

Any proposed version of bingo must be approved by the VGCCC.
