If your business is a restaurant, club or a party bus operator, you may apply for a permit to allow people to bring their own liquor for consumption on your premises.
Applicants are advised to lodge liquor licence applications at least eight weeks in advance. The time taken to process an application will vary depending on a range of factors including the complexity of the application and any objections which may be raised.

A BYO permit authorises the consumption, possession and control of liquor in a restaurant or club that does not hold a liquor licence.
Restaurants or clubs that do not intend to sell or provide liquor to customers, but instead wish to allow customers to bring their own liquor for consumption on the premises.

BYO permit (party buses) authorises the consumption, possession and control of liquor in a party bus that does not hold a liquor licence.
Party bus operators that do not intend to sell or provide liquor to customers but, instead, wish to allow customers to bring their own liquor on board the bus. The BYO permit is for commercially operated buses that take pre-booking and that:
