A single 12-year wagering and betting licence was awarded to Tabcorp Wagering as part of the Gambling Arrangements 2012.
This new arrangement came into effect in August 2012.
The licensee offers on-course and off-course wagering and betting on racing, sports and other approved events. The licensee also offers approved simulated racing games ("trackside").

On 28 August 2019 the Minister made a decision to amend the Wagering and Betting Licence issued to Tabcorp Wagering (Vic) Pty Ltd. The Minister has amended clause 4 of the licence which removes the obligation on Tabcorp to operate as a betting exchange during their term as the wagering and betting licensee.
