IMPORTANT NOTICE: A Declared State of Emergency is currently in place across Victoria. For more information, see: COVID-19 information for licensees
Any person or organisation that intends to conduct gaming activities, work in the gaming industry, or supply liquor in Victoria must apply for a licence or permit.
Applicants are advised to lodge liquor licence applications at least eight weeks in advance. If applying for a major event licence, event organisers should allow a minimum of three months for the VCGLR to review and process the application. The time taken to process will vary depending on a range of factors including the complexity of the application and any objections which may be raised.
