The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) is responsible for administering legislation and regulations relevant to Victoria's gaming and liquor industries.
Fees are charged when making an application for a liquor licence, and annually thereafter as provided for under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.
Designated areas are determined by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) in consultation with the Chief Commissioner of Police. This is done after reviewing the level of alcohol-related violence and disorder around licensed premises in certain areas.
