New premises - Pakenham Racing Club Inc

On 27 November 2013, the Commission handed down its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application by Pakenham Racing Club Inc for approval of a proposed premises to be located at the southwest corner of Bridge and Cardinia Roads, Officer as suitable for gaming with 60 electronic gaming machines.

The Commission approved the premises as suitable for gaming with 60 electronic gaming machines.

EGM increase - Bakers Arms Hotel Pty Ltd - Braybrook Hotel

On 31 October 2013, the Commission handed down its Decision in respect to the application by the Bakers Arms Hotel Pty Ltd to amend its venue operator licence to vary the number of electronic gaming machines from 31 to 50 at the approved venue, the Braybrook Hotel.

The application has been refused.

EGM increase - Branbeau Pty Ltd - The Family Hotel

On 26 June 2013, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (the Commission) handed down its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application by Branbeau Pty Ltd for amendment of its venue operator's licence to vary the number of electronic gaming machines permitted at the approved venue, The Family Hotel, from 20 to 28.

The Commission has granted the application with conditions.

New premises - Bridele Hotel Pty Ltd

On 7 June 2013, the Commission handed down its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application from Bridele Hotel Pty Ltd for approval of the premises, Cardinia Park Hotel, as suitable to conduct gaming on 40 electronic gaming machines.

The Commission determined to grant the application subject to the following condition:

  • the applicant must make cash contributions of $45,000 per annum (adjusted annually to reflect increases to the CPI) and distribute the increased contributions in accordance with its proposal as set out in paragraph 19 of the Reasons for Decision from the date it commences to operate electronic gaming machines at the premises until 15 August 2022.

EGM increase - The Cranbourne Hotel Pty Ltd - The Settlement at Cranbourne

On 6 June 2013, the Commission handed down its decision in respect to the application by The Cranbourne Hotel Pty Ltd for amendment of its venue operator's licence to vary the number of electronic gaming machines at the approved venue, the Settlement at Cranbourne, from 44 to 52.

The application has been granted.

EGM increase - Bairnsdale Bowls Club

On 15 May 2013, the Commission handed down its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application from Bairnsdale Bowls Club to vary the number of gaming machines permitted at the approved premises, the Bairnsdale Bowls Club, from 25 to 26.

As this application related to an increase of less than 10 per cent, the Commission determined this matter without a public hearing.

The Commission determined to approve the application.

EGM increase - Williamstown Football Club - Seagulls Nest

On 7 May 2013, the Commission finalised its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application by Williamstown Football Club to vary the number of electronic gaming machines at the approved venue, Seagulls Nest, from 61 to 66.

The Commission has granted the application.

EGM increase - McKinnon Hotels Pty Ltd - McKinnon Hotel

On 29 April 2013, the Commission finalised its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application by McKinnon Hotels Pty Ltd for amendment of its venue operator's licence to vary the number of electronic gaming machines permitted at the approved venue, the McKinnon Hotel, from 19 to 45.

The Commission has granted the application subject to the conditions set out in paragraph 58 of the Reasons for Decision.

On 7 January 2013, the Commission handed down its Reasons for Decision in respect of an application by the Shepparton Club Inc for approval of the premises, the Shepparton Club, as suitable for gaming. The application was heard and determined on 21 November 2012. The Commission approved the premises as suitable for gaming with 61 electronic gaming machines.
