The VCGLR has implemented a new audit process for gaming venues to improve how it validates reported gaming data.
Gaming machine venues are required to keep daily records on electronic gaming machine data.
Under the new audit process, venues will be required to provide three days worth of information in a required format to the VCGLR when requested.
The VCGLR will assess the data to ensure the necessary regulatory requirements are being met. If there are any issues with the report provided, the VCGLR will scheduled a detailed onsite visit with the venue operator.
All gaming venues should expect to be audited at some point during the year.
